Numerous booths were still setting up when the doors opened. It was the perfect time to enjoy breakfast or brunch at one of the three food booths (Kainan Nino, Kainan Sa Kanto or Josephine’s Bistro and Bar). Rule of thumb was to fall in line in front of the booth that had the longest line, and to order the dishes that everyone else was eating. Most plates had lumpia Shanghai (a version of an egg roll that is usually filled with seasoned beef and/or pork then dipped in sweet and sour sauce), pancit (the Filipino version of chow mein), adobo (chicken or pork that is cooked with garlic, vinegar and soy sauce) and turon saba (an egg roll that is filled with plantain and at times with a sliver of jackfruit which is rolled in brown sugar and fried).
The food booths were located close to the stage, so people were able to enjoy their meal while being entertained. At around lunch time there was a variety show with the following perfomers: Julius Obregon, Roland Valentino, Slam Girls, Ruby Karen, Prime Note Ensemble, Erika delos Santos, Daryl Ogalino and Jamie Avancena. The host was multi-talented Mr. Bernardo Bernardo. He definitely kept everyone entertained. There wasn’t a dull moment. At around dinner time they had the GMA performers Jolina Magdangal, Carl Guevara and Kris Bernal. The host, Jush Andowitt, kept the crowd going while he gave away numerous items like a t-shirt signed by Manny Pacquiao.
